Ok, seriously, it has been a year. I thought I would be more up to cue on writing stuff on this thing but I guess I’m still pretty shy on showcasing what I feel/have to say. Well now that the weather is letting up a bit, now’s a good time to talk bikes!

I’ve been riding a lot. More than I ever have (well, other than messanging) but I have fallen in love with bikes all over again. I never thought I would ever get into mountain biking because I had this reluctance to drop gobs of money on not only new equipment but on equipement that didn’t fit on my fixed gear/road bike/cruiser. But bo0m! Fully geared with fatty tires and ready to slay some trails.
Thanks to my fellow coworkers at Benscycle and to Zack, Chris, and others I’ve been pushing myself harder than ever before. Now, I’m not trying to win anything or become the best of fastest, but it is interesting to see how far I can go both physically and mentally but all in all enjoying not only the ride but just the world around us. It’s nice to be around trees than smog and traffic.
I also want to do some pretty epic tours to Door County, Devil’s Lake, Chicago, and Madison. Anyone is invited, the more the merrier! What I want to ask is, what are your bike goals for this spring/summer? Not really in the realm of how many centuries you can fit into a month but what are you interested in doing this year? I plan on doing a couple of the WORS and WEMS races. Are you going to teach someone how to build a wheel? Will you try to learn how to repair your own bike? Will you try to master that epic 2 min long hill? Are you going to try to camp while on a bike tour? Will you master trackstanding? Will you where a helmet?
Let us know…it would be lovely to hear from you.
P.S. Much love from Milwaukee. I miss all of you and await to bump into you the next time I’m up in Madison.

Hi folks.
At the end of January, our “Head Monkey” (ask him, he’ll laugh) suffered a stroke.
It was thankfully small, and he has recovered quite well, but as with most of us shop-folk, he has no insurance for himself, and the bills are knocking.
Saturday, April 4th, 9 pm - ?.
At Revolution Cycles, 2330 Atwood Ave. 608-244-0009
Tickets are $10 and available at the shop now. Buy one even if you can’t come.
Free beer and entertainment.

A friend of ours works at the South Pole, and made sure he got a shot of a Rev shirt AT THE SOUTH POLE!
Gotta remeber to bring a shirt and a camera next time I go scuba diving;)

The Isthmus caught us playing on the lake this past weekend (while there was still ice on the lake….).
Here’s the story: http://www.isthmus.com/daily/article.php?article=25054
Expect a bigger, EARLIER, event next year!
Global Climate Change willing.
